Stuart joined us as an associate in 1991 and was made partner in 2001. Stuart’s original area of practice was commercial and property litigation, including Claimants’ mortgage fraud and professional negligence claims, acting for a number of banks, building societies and other lending institutes. Whilst he still conducts some general litigation claims Stuart now deals mainly with planning matters, including Judicial Reviews and Sections 106, 278 and 38 Agreements. He is also experienced in dealing with commercial and corporate matters, including partnership and joint venture agreements and corporate sales, usually in the context of commercial and residential property development.
Stuart is married with one daughter and one son and has long term interests in archery and in medieval and military history, which, since becoming a father he now pursues by peaceful means only! He is also an occasional badminton player and a keen Rugby Union supporter.
